The demand for video transport over Ethernet is getting higher every day. C4IP combines broadcast quality video and audio with the latest IP transport technology. Transporting video and audio over IP is normally used for consumer markets, with high delay and low quality. Most developers who use streaming platforms have the same problem; how to reduce bandwidth and delay without losing quality of the video feed.

The RE-1142 SD-SDI encoder is able to maintain quality with low delay for a wide range of applications. With the RE-1142 you are able to create a DVB compliant transport stream over IP, this DVB over IP stream can be used for multiple types of DVB:

• DVB-C
• DVB-S
• DVB-H
• DVB-T

To ensure security, the RE-1142 is able to transmit your stream encrypted. Anything that tries to connect with the unit will need to have the encryption code and special receiver hardware. This way of security makes sure that only you are using the video feed.

Application

The RE-1142 is a 1U rack mountable embedded appliance SDI input, IP Encoder with 4 x 1000 base-T connections which allows you to create separate distribution platforms. Configuration is done via a secured Web User Interface.

When you want to create your own IPTV channel, the RE-1142 is the fundament for encoding the signal to a DVB compliant stream. If you want to show your content live to any location in the world, the unit can be configured with our LLTP (Low Latency Transport Protocol). This way it is possible to create a video link with delays between 0.5 and 1.0 second.

SNMP traps and E-mail notification can be enabled, to ensure automated monitoring of the stream and the encoder. Transport protocaols supported are: RTP, UDP, LLTP, TCP
